The Southern Africa Development Community of Public Accounts Committees (SADCOPAC) is set to convene a crucial meeting of its Sub-Committees on 18–19 May 2026 at the O&L Leisure, Strand Hotel in Swakopmund, Namibia. The two-day workshop, themed “Strengthening Foundations for Effective Oversight,” will bring together Sub-Committee members, the Secretariat, and key facilitators to finalise foundational documents that will guide the organisation over the next five years.
The primary objective of the meeting is to finalise the draft SADCOPAC Strategic Plan (2026–2030) and ensure robust governance structures are in place. Additionally, the Sub-Committees will complete preparations for an upcoming training programme designed for newly elected members of Public Accounts Committees (PACs) and similar oversight bodies.
